Band Leader provides tools for processing images and extracting information relevant to Gel Preparations of DNA and protein molecules. The software is intended for researchers and developers in the fields of Genetics and Molecular Biology who need a tool for the analysis of data available through Gel Electrophoresis and similar methods. Band Leader allows the user to extract meaningful data from raw images and store it in disk-file for further manipulation such as ploting graphs or Band-Sharing computation. After obtaining the image through your scanning device, a typical Band Leader session includes: Displaying the image on the computer screen Processing the image to enhance significant data Analyzing the image through the extraction of image intensities in chosen areas and their presentation on graphs or on lists. Processing acquired graphs to enhance significant data Saving extracted information on disk file for further analysis or incorporation into other projects. ================================================================ 1.
